Landing Page Redesign
Transformed the landing page into an insight-driven workspace
The original landing page was cluttered with scattered links and lacked clear direction. Infoblox introduce a new landing page with insight-driven workspace with KPIs, dashboards, and domain-based workspaces, allowing users to quickly understand system status and take action.

CONTEXT
Our CSP (Cloud Portal Service) users often complained about the landing page… Why? 🧐
Users often voiced frustration with our portal landing page. We heard constant complaints about not being able to find critical information quickly. These qualitative insights were supported by quantitative tracking as well.

USERS
Who uses our portal and what are their daily tasks?
USER GROUP 1
Network Users
Reliable DDI services to manage IP addresses
Automate network configurations
Network Admin
USER GROUP 2
Security Users
Investigate threats
Respond to DNS-based threats in real time
Help them reduce risk and improve incident response
SOC and risk management team
USER GROUP 3
Users across both Network & Security domains
Bridge networking and security workflows
Give them full visibility and control over both infrastructure and threat surfaces in one platform
Network security engineers
-> We have three user groups, each with different priorities—BUT one thing in common: they all start from the landing page. The landing page should not be a static overview, but a dynamic, role-aware workspace that adapts to different user needs.
PROBLEM
What are users really struggling with?
To understand the real challenges, we talked directly with our customers and observed how they interacted with the portal landing page. Through interviews, we identified common pain points: users struggled to find the right information quickly, often had to navigate multiple pages, and none were completing their tasks directly from the landing page. These insights helped us prioritize solutions that would make the landing page more actionable, intuitive, and user-centered.
Honestly, the current landing page doesn’t add much value. I’ve never actually started any tasks from there — it just feels like a placeholder. Half the time, I’m not even sure what the information on the page is trying to tell me.

None of the items in the landing page helps users start their daily tasks.
Spreaded out informations and resources - users get confused where to start.
STRATEGY
How might we design a more personalized and task-relevant landing page experience that helps Network and Security users quickly access what they need, without navigating through irrelevant or disorganized links and pages?
INSIGHT
STRATEGY/IDEA
Make landing page actionable
->
Dashboard
What is the most critical information users want to check and take action daily?
Technical constraint: Must be compatible with ECharts, the chart library used by the Eng team.
Users need quick understanding of system status
->
KPIs
Dynamic KPIs reduce cognitive load
Prioritize visibility and placement—top of page for quick scanning.
Users have different domain goals
->
Workspace
Provide default domain workspaces
Do we want to allow users to create customized workspaces?
Some workspaces can be locked for upsell purposes, showing dummy data with prompts to purchase.

FINAL DESIGN
Introducing New Landing Page

Lack of visible, actionable metrics
Content doesn’t align with users’ daily tasks
No clear direction on where to go
Interactive dashboards enable users to drill down into detailed data tables
KPI ribbon surfaces critical system metrics at a glance
Streamlined navigation and header improve clarity and orientation
Drill-down for Deeper Analysis
To balance high-level visibility with actionable detail, we designed each dashboard on the landing page to support seamless drill-down.
Each dashboard is therefore interactive and enables users to drill down into a dedicated detail view. From there, users can:
Explore the full dataset behind the visualization
Apply filters and refine time ranges
Investigate specific data points or spikes
Transition directly into relevant workflows

Custom Workspace for more personalized experience
we recognized that user needs can vary significantly depending on their role, priorities, and workflows. To support this, we introduced custom workspaces directly within the landing page.
In addition to the default workspace tabs, users can create their own workspace, assign a custom name, and tailor it to their specific needs.
Within each workspace, users can:
Add and arrange dashboards relevant to their workflows
Focus on specific metrics or environments
Quickly switch between different monitoring contexts

Contextual KPIs allow users to quickly monitor domain-specific health
To make the landing page more relevant and adaptive, KPI content dynamically updates based on the selected workspace.
Each workspace represents a distinct context—such as security, network, or a user-defined focus area—and the KPIs adjust accordingly to reflect the most important metrics for that context. For example:
In the Security workspace, KPIs highlight threat activity, detections, and risk indicators
In the Network workspace, KPIs focus on DNS traffic, IP utilization, and infrastructure health
This contextual approach ensures that users are always presented with the most meaningful information for their current task, without needing to filter or reconfigure views manually.
